Anti-hydrolysis Agents
For plastics, adhesives, paints, varnishes, rubbers and other polymer systems
In numerous materials, the use of a anti-hydrolysis agent (also known as hydrolysis stabiliser or hydrolysis protection) is essential to ensure the performance and durability of the product. Materials with functional groups that are vulnerable to hydrolysis, e.g. polyesters, biopolymers, synthetic and vegetable esters or polyurethanes are particularly prone to hydrolytic decomposition. This is accompanied by the loss of mechanical and visual properties as well as a reduced product service life.
The aging stability of polymer systems can be significantly improved through the systematic use of anti-hydrolysis agents of the LUBIO® Hydrostab or LUBIO® Hystab series. Our stabilizer against hydrolysis contribute towards the resistance of the materials toward air humidity and acids and thus slow down the hydrolytic disintegration process.
Our anti-hydrolysis additives are used in plastics, adhesives, paints, varnishes, rubbers and other polymer systems.
LUBIO® Hydrostab, which is based on monomer and highly molecular carbodiimides, can significantly improve the aging stability of polymer systems.
