UV Stabilizers
UV rays of the sunlight result in a photo-oxidative ageing of polymers together with atmospheric oxygen. Among other things, this can be seen by discolouration, chalking, brittleness or cracks in the plastic. Due to the use of UV stabilisers the mechanical and optical properties can be maintained for a longer period of time, even under the influence of intense sun radiation. UV stabilisers can be divided into UV absorbers and UV inhibitors.
